WI Gov. Evers abolishes Tuesday

Trump 2021!

[ UPDATE 5:03 p.m. 04-06-2020: WI Supreme Court says Election to proceed Tuesday DESPITE Gov. Tony Evers attempt to cancel the election. ]

“Using the powers granted to me by the Wizard, I Gov. Tony Evers, hereby cancel Tuesday, April 7. Coincidentally, that was the day of the Spring non-partisan election and the Democrat(ic) presidential primary.

“Using these emergency powers, which are wonderful BTW, I want all of Wisconsin to move their clocks 24 hours ahead to Wednesday, April 8 — a date that will LIVE … in infamy!” Tony the Time Traveler said via Zoom, his disembodied head seeming to float above shooting flames. “The Great Tony hath spoken!” he thundered.

Tony the Wizard

“The election will be held when I give the mighty signal! The oceans will boil and Joe Biden will emerge from a manhole somewhere on Regent Street. He will see his shadow and it shall be Springtime. (Winter for Poland and France.)”

“This coronavirus must not be allowed to go to my head!”

Did the WI Supreme Court do the right thing
by re-instating Tuesday’s election?

The Lefty SCOWI candidate is losing–and perhaps Neubauer (2nd Circuit) is losing, too. So we’ll just cancel the election until you Despicable Dolts can be buried in 100,000++ fraudulent votes.

So what’s Tony going to do in November??

Tony Evers irresponsibly tried to play last-minute games with democracy and just got burned big time. What a ridiculous last-minute ploy on his part. I voted for him! How embarrassing this is. If he were seriously concerned his order should have been issued a week or more ago — not hours before polls open. People have had weeks to request absentee ballots.

On an unrelated note, the new Madison schools superintendent just backed out. He probably saw the handwriting on the wall and realized what an impossible task it would be to satisfy the amped-up activists of Madison who have nothing better to do than point fingers at others. As a result a bright young Latino leader was basically run out of town before he even could get started. Probably a smart move on his part not to walk into a pit of vipers here. Meanwhile, one wonders how the disruptive little darlings of the Madison district are doing at home these days. Do their parent/s still think their little angels are oppressed by big bad Teacher?

    • The inescapable back story?

Which one(s) of Ichabod Evers’ tin-eared handlers was monumentally tone deaf enough to tell him to flip off the timing and give that a try?

And The Gotch didn’t know until this day, that it was…..Soros all along…

Some X-Chromosomal Unit waif was standing at the corner of Midvale & Tokay by the Midvale Heights polling place @Sequoya Library, waving an English-challenged homemade sign saying something to the effect “The GOP Would Rather Murder…slobber slobber slobber.”

After completing his civic duty and walking back home, The Gotch thought about asking this kid just that question, then decided to spare her the staggering embarrassment of having to employ rudimentary critical thinking…and whiffing…BADLY!

Or worse yet, encountering that 1000 yard cluelessly blank stare.

Evers and the republicans Legislature are both to be held accountable for this disaster but much of this should have been avoided if his proposal to move the date started before absentee ballots could be requested. Tony made no serious efforts to really make this election happen in accordance of he law under the stay at home orders. The only way you can postpone this election would be all cast ballots would have to be verified and destroyed. New ballots would have to be reprinted and approved with some sort of mark on it denoting it was for the new election date. To try and avoid further election tampering. Republicans did not even want to try to come up with a way to postpone it fairly. The divide between state Republicans and the Progressives posing as democrats is bigger than the grand canyon now.

Ridiculous, completely. No has time for this crap right now. Shame on all of them!

Evers should have done this right after he shut down the state, gave the Republicans something they want, and it would have been postponed.
    That’s Negotiation 101, Tony.
How are those coronavirus predictions going, Ms.Pine?

  7. What a mess. The election should have been postponed. I am frustrated by all parties. Why did this have to wait until the last minute? Why didn’t the Republicans in the legislature do something sooner to change the date of the election? I’m sure that there is more to this than meets they eye. My bottom line is this… Why wouldn’t a stay at home order extend to elections?

Outdoors, I agree 100 percent. Their is culpability on both legislature and Evers. This should have been postponed at the very latest on 03/13/2020. PERIOD!

The proposals from the Evers camp were ridiculous he wasted weeks on trying to get vote from home all mail in ballots. Instead of , I dunno, just postponing it until June. Then at the last minute when he saw republicans were not going to allow voter fraud to occur willfully, he cries uncle.
It was too late, the election with early voting and absentee ballots had basically been started, the rule is simple absentee ballots need to be postmarked he day of the election PERIOD!. not the next day not a week later the day of the election.
The legislature should have convened and agreed the postpone the election when Evers issued the stay at home order. meaning on early voting or ballots issued until they agreed on a date. Then there would have been time to work out details and contingency plans.

Like I said earlier, people have enough on there minds right now and do not have time for this kind of crap.
