because Democrats do not want Hunter Biden

When asked how much money Burisma was paying him, Hunter Biden answered: “Look I’m a private citizen. One thing I don’t have to do is open my kimono as it relates to how much money I make.”
ABC News interviewer: “If your last name wasn’t Biden do you think you would have been asked to be on the board of Burisma?
Hunter Biden: “I don’t know, I don’t know. Probably not. I don’t think there are a lot of things that would have happened in my life if my last name wasn’t Biden.
Did Donald Trump demand a quid pro quo? No. The $391 million was delivered well before the Ukrainians ran out of bullets. There was no investigation or even an announcement of one. President Zelensky got his high-profile meeting with the President of the United States. But, Democrats say, it was the thought that counts. HUH?
Maybe Trump SHOULD have demanded Ukrainian quid for American quo.
The Bidens are the very corruption that should trouble Trump and American taxpayers. How did Trump benefit politically from his supposed quid pro quo? By exposing U.S-Ukrainian corruption. How did the Bidens benefit? By collecting over one million dollars from a corrupt Ukrainian oligarch as insurance from Obama-Biden exposure.
Congress should put up green screen behind the speakers like TV
weathermen, where could be displayed images of Joe and Hunter Biden.
Or Sponge-Pants Square Bob.
We have said from day One that Joe Biden and his boy Hunter SHOULD be investigated. Somehow, Democrats and their allies in the mainstream Resistance news media contend that the the whole Biden-Burisma scam has been thoroughly investigated and dispelled.
How so? Who investigated and when? Which federal agency? Not Robert Mueller. Not Jim Comey. Not Bob Brennan or James Clapper. Not Adam Schiff or Jerold Nadler.
His plane leaves in six hours
Former Florida attorney general Pam Bondi went after the Bidens tooth and tong Monday Monday (01-27-2020). “Every witness … agreed there was a potential appearance of conflict of interest.”
No energy experience. Knew nothing about Ukraine. Why did Burisma want to pay him millions of dollars with no qualifications? Pam Bondi answered that question: “Hunter Biden … had one qualification; he was the son of the vice president of the United States, in charge of the Ukrainian portfolio.” Even Biden’s former business partner (stepson of then secretary of state Kerry) warned the State Department of the conflict of interest.
Bondi played the infamous tape of Joe Biden boasting that he threatened to withhold one billion dollars in aid to Ukraine unless the prosecutor investigating Hunter Biden’s Burisma petroleum firm was fired. Which, of course, he was.
Democrats’ partisan ethics
Taking heads at MSNBC forced nervous laughter — but no rebuttal — to the Trump team’s suggestion that if anyone should have been impeached for political quid pro quo, it should have been Barack Obama. Trump defender Eric Herschmann made that case splendidly. (See some of the best of the impeachment trial here.)
Barack Obama was telling then-Russian president Medvedev to give him some “space” to get through the 2012 election, after which he would be able to be more “flexible” on missile defense. Sure enough, Obama denied the defensive missiles that Poland, for one, ardently desired. Ukraine got only blankets and night vision goggles so that they could see the Russian tanks advancing on them but not stop them. Obama is a wily enough politician to know that American voters would not look kindly on his pathetic obsequiousness. Of course, Congress did not impeach Barack Obama for HIS quid pro quo.
“Ukraine must clean up its energy sector. Ukraine senior elected official should have to remove all conflicts between their business interest and their government responsibilities.” Who said this? Herschmann answered:
“Joe Biden said that in December 2015. … One thing he did not say, he did not tell his son not to trade on his family connections. And House manager Schiff says, “move along, nothing to see here?”

The New York Times’ story contains no “bombshells,” notwithstanding the media hype. Anyone paying attention, or who has read Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson’s Nov. 18 letter to House Members, knows that Mr. Trump mistrusted Ukraine and considered cutting off aid. Anyone who read the rough transcript of Mr. Trump’s July 25 call with Ukraine’s President knows he wanted an investigation of Hunter and Joe Biden. All Mr. Bolton reportedly adds is news of a conversation in which Mr. Trump made a direct connection between the two that nearly everyone already assumed.
This still isn’t close to a high crime or misdemeanor. Mr. Trump’s reckless judgment was resisted by his staff and Senators like Mr. Johnson, and the President eventually changed his mind. Ukraine never opened an investigation, the U.S. aid was delivered on time, and Mr. Trump met with Ukraine’s President in New York. There was no crime, and Mr. Trump’s military support for Ukraine continues to be far more robust than Barack Obama’s.
Blaska’s Bottom Line: Herschmann warned Schiff’s impeachment team: Be careful what you wish for. They wanted impeachment. Result: Joe Biden is critically wounded. If the Democrat(ic) party establishment continues its disinformation campaign against Bernie Sanders they will need to swap out Uncle Joe for a more viable favorite. Bernie, at least, is honest.

By now we’ve heard the word “bombshell” (or its cousin “explosive”) more often than Adam Schiff got wedgies in middle school. It lost whatever force it had months ago–years ago if you count all the bombshells that turned out to be duds during the breathless reporting on the Mueller investigation. The only thing that’s really exploding, slow motion, is the Dems’ case against Trump.

How much did Hunter Biden make? Shouldn’t the question be how much in taxes did Donald Trump pay? Why didn’t the republicans investigate Hunter Biden when they controlled both houses of congress? Why were there no bombshells and explosive revelations dur anyone of the rightwing investigations into the Clintons that took place over the last three decades? Had to be they either did nothing wrong or are far-far brighter than republican investigators. The fact that the Impoundment Control Act of 1974 prohibits the president or the OMB from unilaterally reducing, delaying or eliminating funding in an account. Do all the posters on tthis site have strong enough command of the English language to know what the word “DELAY” means?
The President committed a clear violation of the law.

Well one reason there were no investigations into Hunter while Republicans control everything. Were because of the feckless Jeff Sessions at the AG. He should have resigned the instant he decided to recuse himself. He had no ideal the venomous snake-pit Obama’s DOJ, CIA, FBI and NSC had left behind for him to step into like a typical rhino he basically let non appointed hit men run the show.
If they tried to investigate anything prior to 2016 election they were told to go pound sand by Obama DOJ and you guessed executive privilege. The very same thing Trump may use legally. Remember Benghazi and the gun fun with Mexican border, IRS scandal. Those were essentially thwarted because of Executive Privilege. i mean why did they not want to testify and clear their name if they were innocent of wrong doing right away. Instead they were compelled to testify after a lengthy battle with courts. but if the were innocent why did they not want to prove their innocence. The house impeachment investigation should have been way more thorough and they should have gone to court instead of ramming this through and crying foul later.
They passed the articles on for trial, instead of taking the political hits for a longer period of time to do things in a more thorough and open and shut case. They chose to roll the dice and then waste their entire time essentially using 24 hours to smear the president for campaign purposes over a laundry list of items that have already been proven false. The charges are ridiculous overreach and he should be acquitted immediately.
Dems will have plenty more to investigate I am sure so just bring up new articles on new topics that actually have a real case.

Don’t need an AG to call for an investigation, Republican Chairs of either the House Judiciary Committee, Chairman, Bob Goodlatte (R-Virginia) until 2019, or Former Senate Committee on the Judiciary chairman Chuck Grassley (R- Iowa ) or Current Senate Committee on the Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) could call for an investigation and asked for a special prosecutor to launch an investigation. So prior to or after 2016 It was possible to call for an investigation of the Biden’s for any wrongdoing under US laws.
