Madison socialists to rally in support of Iran

Bernie’s people blaming America first again

Madison’s Party for Socialism and Liberation has scheduled a rally for noon this Saturday, January 4 at the State Capitol to — you guessed it! — protest what they call “the United States’ escalation toward war with Iran.”

That’s how they reference taking out Iran’s mastermind of state-sponsored of death and terror,  Qasem Soleimani.

According to Madison’s sociopaths, the rally was first planned “as a response to recent U.S. airstrikes in Iraq and Syria that provoked protests at the U.S. embassy in Baghdad this week. Organizers expanded their focus this Thursday after President Donald Trump ordered a drone strike in Iraq that killed high-ranking Iranian military leader Qassem Soleimani, a potential explosive turn in the United States’ long history of deadly and cynical meddling in the Middle East.”

Never mind that 4 ½ years ago, Britain’s Telegraph reported reported that “Obama’s Iran deal granted an amnesty to the world’s leading terrorist mastermind.”

Ca someone please explain the difference between an Iraqi general using troops to take out his enemies next door and an American general using troops to take out his enemies on the other side of the world. Isn’t it the job of a general to diminish the impact on his country by his enemies?

Yeah, one wins and one loses.

Thank God you are not making decisions about responding to attacks on American soil (cf: embassy).

Your excuse-making for a terrorist like Soleimani is only confirming this Dem’s decision to quietly vote Trump this fall. I encourage others to do the same.

Siding with a brutal killer regime like Iran — one that executes gays, oppressed women, kills their own people who dissent, spearheads Syrian genocide, and hates Jews — is truly a baffling route for “progressives” to take but you do you.

      • geo_ says:

Protesters never breached the embassy walls, so they never were on American soil. At least you admit our government makes bad decisions based hearsay. So your point is senseless and wrong.
My guess it all has to do with the recent discovery of a new sweet oil field in Iran.

Adam C is on to something. Blaska was a never Trumper in 2016 — even at the National Convention in Cleveland as an alternate delegate. If the election were held today I would vote Trump.

Geo very neatly exhibits the sin of equivalency.

Sanctimonious white upper-middle-class Madison liberals march to the Capitol Square to protest [insert issue here]. Their version of public masturbation (no penalties though).

  3. George's Son says:

Jeez,Geo_ Thanks fer the memories. I haven’t heard that old saw about “oil fields” inna long time. BTW, not only is it 2020, it’s NOT 1999. Read a newspaper, you’ll see it’s true.

  4. AdamC says:

Maybe 100 people at most at today’s “protest”— there were more people at O’Reilly Auto Parts offa Hwy. 51 this afternoon.

Yet who gets the headlines in a county of a half- million people? Yep— you guessed it: less than 100 misfits who love them some blame America first. Including some…. interesting….guy who self identified as a radicalized member of the (wait for it)”Socialist Rifle Association” which 50/50 odds are dude was using an assumed name and a made-up organization as the result of a dare, a lost bet, or some weird strain of performance art.

    • Gary L. Kriewald says:

Did you see the television coverage of this (non)event? Talk about central casting: some aging hippies, some sanctimonious Wet-side families bringing the kids to see what living in Madison is all about. Pathetic.

I’m having a hard time recalling the lefties being this histrionic when Obama was bombing Libya and Syria into chaos and dropping hellfires on people all over the middle east, or when Hillary wanted to go toe-to-toe with the Russians. As I recall, the party line was Assad and Qaddafi were very, very bad people and we were righteous champions of the oppressed Syrian and Libyan peoples. Fast forward to the Trump administration and they are in full melt down that a man running IED operations against US forces, who was part of a regime that guns down protesters, beats women for immodesty, makes wind chimes out of gay men, and imposes an oppressive fundamentalist religion on their people, was blown all over the landscaping a Baghdad airport.

I am almost impressed by the strength of will it must take to maintain this degree of disingenuousness with a straight face. In principle, Soleimani was everything the left claims to hate. I reality, they are more than happy to pretend not to notice in the interest of larger overriding principles; Orange Man bad, resentment and loathing of America, and protecting Obama’s legacy.
