Bob is correct, but not in the way he thinks. In Benghazi, hubris, incompetence and stupidity led the ambassador and his staff being hung out to dry. In Baghdad we’ve learned the hard lesson that the locals are dangerous savages.
What’s truly interesting are the parallels between the early days in Iraq and Libya. In both we believed that,through our magical American awesomeness, that we would turn nations of goat humping savages, that had been dragged to the cusp of modernity only through the efforts of ruthless dictators, into peaceful nations enjoying pumpkins spice lattes at the Starbucks. Both turned into dumpster fires. Which shows that foreign policy stupidity is not endemic to one party. We have sucked at messing around in other nations since the days of Jefferson and Barbary pirates. We should probably take this as a clue.

Once again we see the Left accusing President Trump of their own sins.
This time the president was not AWOL. Neither Barack nor Hillary could be bothered to take Amb. Chris Stevens’ calls. cables or emails. Remember the apologies? Me either. Because an election was pending. After the Benghazi murders, the entire foreign service swamp THEN swung into action to lie and claim it was because of a Youtube video that had 300 views. The CIA lied, the State Dept. lied, Hillary, Barack and Slow Joe Biden all cried crocodile tears over the dead at Dover AFB and vowed vengeance …….. on the YouTuber. On Sept 12, 24 hours after the attack began the Libyan Amb. was on NPR saying that’of course it was a large, well organized attack on the anniversary of 9/11. Barack et al. kept lying.
Because what difference could it possibly make……. after Barack was re elected?
Hillary’s emails, her home brew server and her deleted 30,000 subpoena’d emails, her 22 confirmed felonies the FBI forgave?

Yeah, Trump should do like Hillary “We came, we saw, he died” in Libya, thereby making it into a s*&t hole to be a conduit for Africa and the middle east to go to Europe. Maybe Trump should do as Obama and Biden did in turning over Iraq and and billions of dollars in weaponry to a JV squad called ISIS.
