Blaska Policy Werkes

David Blaska, going out of his way to provoke progressives in Madison WI to make America safe for democracy!

Don’t mess with me!

It’s not personal, Sonny.  I don’t hate anyone.
It’s strictly business.

No Malarky! Just a wet noodle for a backbone. We like candidates with a little sand in their craw. That’s why we will cut Joe Biden some slack for calling that Iowa voter “a damned liar.” Or Nancy Pelosi telling a reporter, “Don’t mess with me.” (There’s bound to be a tee shirt in that.) But heaven help us if Trump did that (which he pretty much has).

Pelosi catholic extremist
Babylon Bee strikes again!

But it doesn’t help that the Iowa voter challenging Biden is an 83-year-old retired farmer and former U.S. Marine. (We would NOT challenge the guy to a push-up contest.) Or that more voters surely will be asking the same questions about Hunter Biden, Burisma, and Democrat(ic) quid pro quo.

Now we shift to Adam Schiff. We reprint a portion of this Friday’s (12-06-19) Wall Street Journal editorial:

Schiff Impeaches Biden

Adam schiffLet’s assume, for the sake of argument, that Mr. Schiff’s bribery definition is correct and should be the impeachment standard. Why then wouldn’t Joe Biden’s actions in Ukraine in 2015 also be an impeachable bribe?

Mr. Biden has admitted that he threatened Ukrainian officials with the denial of U.S. aid if they didn’t fire a prosecutor who was investigating Burisma, which was paying Hunter Biden some $50,000 a month. That sure looks like an official act that had “some personal or political reason,” under the Schiff definition. It was certainly something “of value personally” under the Blumenthal definition.

Comment, respond, what do you thinkMr. Biden might object that he was representing the Obama Administration “in the nation’s interest.” But defining national interest is in the eye of the beholder. Is it in the U.S. interest for Ukraine officials to see that a company can escape scrutiny for corruption if it hires the son of the U.S. Vice President? Is it in the nation’s interest if other countries and companies observe this behavior and hire relatives of other American politicians?

At the very least, this is a question the U.S. Senate should be eager to explore in Mr. Trump’s impeachment trial. Mr. Biden would be essential to call as a leading witness, perhaps for the Trump defense team.

Adventures in identity politics

I’m a woman and I’ve got paper to prove it. In today’s New York Times (12-06-19):

I Won a World Championship. Some People Aren’t Happy

This is not the beginning of the end of women’s sports

Trans women are women

By

Many want me to race against men. I have news for them: I’m not allowed. I’m legally female. My birth certificate, passport, driver’s license, U.S. permanent resident card, medical records and my racing license all have an “F” on them. … I transitioned in 2012.

F for female! It’s on paper!

2. Is the Pope pro-life?

Pelosi chewSpeaker Pelosi twice asserted at her press conference Thursday (12-05-19) that her Catholic upbringing and faith  (despite her ardent support of abortion) precluded her from hating anyone, even the President.

Every Thanksgiving it is the custom of Maureen Dowd to turn over her New York Times column to her Trump-loving brother Kevin Dowd. It is a hoot! He writes:

How I can still support Donald Trump? My short answer is always the same: Have you looked at the alternative?

The liberals still sneer at religious conservatives. I wouldn’t let them come with me to the Knights of Columbus bar. In August, the D.N.C. passed a resolution saying “religiously unaffiliated Americans” are the largest “religious group” in the party and “overwhelmingly” share Democrats’ values. And certain House chairmen are waiving the words “So help me God” from swearing-ins.

God help me.

3. Losers cry racism

Cory Booker and Julian Castro are accusing the Democrat(ic) party of racism after Kamala Harris exits stage left. Dunno what they’re barking about. No minorities? The party still has Elizabeth Warren, right?

4. The Hallmark channel is too white.

Also, too saccharin.

What do YOU think?

How diverse is the community of kids who are car-jacking or stealing cars? Equal distribution by race? Second, do you know what happens to them and/or their parents?

The walking advertisement for (or maybe against) Botox claims that as a devout Catholic she doesn’t hate anyone. Sounds like someone besides the Deplorables knows how to cling to religion, at least when the occasion calls for it. Reminds me of certain elite law profs claiming to revere the Constitution when they would gleefully abolish the Second Amendment and the Electoral College if they thought they could get away with it.

Oh, you conservatives. You seem to believe only conservatives can have/be religion/religious.
As for Schiff and Biden, for the bazillionth time, there’s a difference between Biden executing official US policy, in public, versus Trump’s off the books extortion “drug deal” to force a foreign power to help his re-election campaign. See the difference?

      ”Biden executing official US policy”

Jabberin’ Joe bragging about getting the prosecutor fired that looking into sonny’s shady Ukraine business dealings was simply, and I quote ”executing official US policy” under the Most Transparent Administration EVAH?

      Good to know!

And sonny knowing nothing about the position for which he was knocking down $50 large per month left him with a lot of free time…to pack his nose and knock up strippers, am I right?

Anywho…awwww, isn’t that cute; @AnonyBob has his enfeebled mind made up; don’t confuse him with FACTS.

      To wit:

Elise Stefanik (R-NY) (to Sondland) “You testified in fact, ‘Mr. Trump never told me directly the aid was conditioned on the investigations. You said, ‘never heard those words from the president. Instead, you testified that in your September call with President Trump said, ‘No quid pro quo. I want nothing. I want nothing,” (bolds mine)

SONDLAND ACKNOWLEDGED THAT SHE WAS CORRECT

Ah Lefty; so much staggering stupidity, so little time!

Only true if official US policy was to get rid of a corrupt prosecutor (regardless of young Biden’s tacky yet legal employment) in exchange for US foreign aid, instead of forcing a weaker foreign ally to do your campaign dirty work. Trump abused his office. Impeach and remove.

So today’s DNC talking points are ‘deny the obvious Hunter Biden corruption, blame Trump.’ Once again it took an iconoclast like President Trump to expose the utter corruption of the Obama regime. Hillary gets SecState and whaddaya know? here’s a $1.5 Billion Clinton Foundation. Strange how its income is down 90% since anyone had to pay to play. Somehow Hillary’s speaking skills have also diminished suddenly, real suddenly, since Wall St. insisted she take $250,000 per speech.
And now a phony baloney impeachment to titillate the Left while America becomes great again as evidenced by rising wages, small business start ups, full employment and robust GDP growth. (Meanwhile Canada and the EU are looking at zero GDP growth. Hmmmm what do we have that they don’t?)
Honest to Pete ABob, someone on your side better come up with something tangible to point to. Now its like the roadrunner is going into Wile E.’s cave and beating the living hell out of him for laughs.

Splat, most of your points are full of holes. You Trumpsters are awfully sloppy when it comes to reality.
Hunter’s “corruption” seat on a board (bad optics while perfectly legal), pales in comparison to another politician’s children being under qualified for the positions he’s placed them in. You tell me what qualifications and appropriate experience Jared and Inanka brought to the White House, besides their personal business interests. I’ll tell you: zilch. And I’ll tell you what they’ve accomplished on behalf of the American people: zilch.
There’s nothing phoney about the impeachment. Trump has fully earned it thru his corrupt, self serving actions and contempt for his oath of office, our democracy and our constitution. And no, it’s not about “undoing” the results of the 2016 election. But winning an election doesn’t mean you can’t ever get impeached and thrown out of office in the face of committing illegal, venal acts.
America is not being made great thanks to Trump. He’s embarrassed and diminished us abroad. At home, he’s merely managed to continue the 6 years of economic expansion Obama left him, though he needed to add a trillion $ to our debt to do it; how hard can that be? Unfortunately, his “tax breaks to your friends” tax reform is already petering out. We’re back down to the 2.1% growth rate his administration was handed by Obama (who grew it from a low of -3.9 to 2.0). What’s Trump done? Looks like a big fat nothing in 3 years. It’s projected be down to 1.8% in 2020. Trump’s high point of 3% in 2018 didn’t seem to help the GOP in the 2018 elections, so yeah, bring on that 2020.

ABob there is nothing but wishes, magic thinking, projection and TDS in your response. I cited three economic markers that cannot be disputed. You argue “nuh uh, didn’t happen, Obama did that, its all going south’ just wait.”
And by the way, knocking up a stripper, denying it and losing a DNA suit while making the Dem front runner a grandpa? THAT is tacky. You show me where a Trump child sucked up millions from corrupt oligargarchs and ChiComs and I’ll show you when Clintons and Bidens do it. But you can’t. Your answer? It’s OK when Democrats do it.
There’s an election coming and all you have is geriatrics and a Commie. What I have is a broad based growing economy, general prosperity, no new wars.
I’m thinking of supporting Tulsi Gabbard so that there is some coherent opposition. Now there is none.

Sorry, Splat, there’s plenty of hard, cruel reality in my response and facts and figures to back it up. I don’t need projection, magic thinking, TDS, etc., Trump himself provides all the low-hanging fruit any prosecutor needs (and they’re lining up). And of course I can point you to Trump children sucking up from oligarchs. How about Ivanka being granted patents and marketing licenses by the Chinese govt. while she’s on White House payroll? How about Jared coming up with middle eastern financing for his 666 (!) Building while he’s (not) negotiating peace in the Mid East? It’s one big mafia family! It’s too bad each one of them can’t be impeached, only the head guy. But to you and the rest of the cult, “It’s OK if Trump does it.”
Tulsi? She’s perfect for you. Or would be, until you learn about her.
