MANURE STORAGE RULES!
Can a dog hear Eric Ciaramella’s whistle?
One of the more deranged Trump haters practices his drive-by journalism at Esquire magazine under the byline of Charles Pierce. His printed form of scream therapy earns him a recurring seat at Pajama Boy’s All In Democrat(ic) infomercial weeknights on MSNBC.
Pierce’s piece of merde is headlined: “The Authoritarian Rot that Produced this President* is present in the Republican Party at All Levels. Need proof? Look at Kentucky and Wisconsin.”
The snarky asterisk, stuck like a Lyme-disease tick to the word “President*,” is Pierce’s way of refusing to acknowledge the legitimacy of the man who defeated the Hildabeast. This, he has in common with Hillary, Antifa, Schiff, Comey, the New York Times and other warriors of The Resistance. “Authoritarian Rot” is chockablock with the internal contradictions and non-sequiturs so loved by our … acquaintances.
Ann of Althouse performs the necropsy:
… The idea is that [Pierce] doesn’t regard Trump as actually the President [yet] he’s taking the position that Democrats who win an election (without an overwhelming majority) are not considered legitimate by Republicans.
What’s the “authoritarian rot” that’s so obvious in Wisconsin, according to Pierce? It’s just one story about how the state senate voted not to confirm the governor’s choice for the state agriculture secretary, Brad Pfaff. The GOP senators said Pfaff’s manure storage rules would hurt farmers. …
How is [that] “authoritarian,” let alone “authoritarian rot”? The governor’s choice for agriculture secretary required senate confirmation. That’s a check on executive power. Where’s the authoritarian rot Pierce is talking about?
And how presumptuous, the white lab coats here at the Werkes interject, that a duly elected legislature should weigh in on administrative RULES!
Postscript: One of Anne’s commenters offers this: “As they say in Wisconsin, “Manure storage rules!”
Mainstream media finds a whistle blower it doesn’t like
Um, that would be CBS News which, as a favor to its supposed competitors, fired the newly hired staffer who leaked the video of the ABC reporter who complained that her expose of Jeffrey Epstein was spiked three years ago. (More at PJ Media)
One of the biggest takeaways from the recent New York Times/Siena College survey of battleground states is that Elizabeth Warren is not connecting with the very people her policies are supposed to help.
Thus, it follows that: “Democrats are insulting and condescending to the swing-state voters they need the most.”
Blaska’s Bottom Line: If you doubt the Trump Resistance is deranged, even Jerry Springer blames Trump for America’s lack of civility. Jerry Springer!
