Bad Blaska is itching to disrupt a meeting. Not just any meeting but a preening hootenanny of liberals, progressives and socialists scheduled for next Thursday 10-17-19 at the Goodman community center, 214 Waubesa St., Madison.
It is hosted by that terribly woke village scold State Rep. Chris Taylor, D-Madison; Alder Marsha Rummel, Progressive Dane; and “community advocate and activist” Brandi Grayson, Black Lives Matter. Their agenda: stop the Air Force’s new F-35 fighter jets from being deployed at Truax air field.
Ms. Grayson specializes in civil disobedience: shutting down rush hour traffic and disrupting meetings. Rummel and Taylor are her amen corners.
We’re thinking along the line of five or six vuvuzelas and a full-throated rendition of the Air Force anthem.

Who is to stop me?
Not Madison police, who will not arrest Grayson or Freedom Inc.’s Bianca Gomez when they disrupted meetings. Not District Attorney Ismael Ozanne, who refuses to prosecute.
Nor Governor Tony Evers, who is poised to veto a policy designed to protect the right of unpopular speakers to be heard on University of Wisconsin campuses. The Democrat(ic) governor would affirm the heckler’s veto. Antifa and other thugs are free to shout down anyone with whom they disagree. So much for sifting and winnowing.

More constitutional illiteracy
A presidential candidate vying for a major political party’s endorsement proposes to — in effect — fine religious institutions that do not kowtow to the Democrat agenda of celebrating gay marriage. Do not expect a single mainstream news media outlet to denounce Beto O’Rourke for threatening to pull churches’ tax exemption if they don’t conform.
Beto is not the only one ignorant of the U.S Constitution. The New York Times, driven to distraction by the Orange President, is entertaining an old FDR scheme: packing the Supreme Court.
Because “the resulting conservative court majority has proved strongly activist, with justices willing to substitute their own judgments for those of democratically elected legislators,” writes columnist David Leonhardt.
Blaska’s almost bottom line: David, David, David! (Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!) The court is not supposed to mimic the current legislature but to uphold the plain written language of the Constitution!

Congratulations! You just demonstrated conclusively that finding examples of liberal hypocrisy is as difficult as finding hay in a haystack. If I thought you were serious about disrupting the meeting Thursday night, I’d be there with bells on. I live in the Atwood neighborhood that would be affected by the F-35s. When I moved here 5 years ago, I was initially alarmed by the noise level of the commercial planes and fighter jets roaring through the skies (to say nothing of the trains roaring through the same area often several times a day). But guess what? After a couple of weeks I got used to it–and I’m on the high end of the noise-sensitivity spectrum. (I realize, of course, that Madison liberals’ sensitivity to everything–particularly when it threatens to disrupt even marginally their perfect little upper-middle-class lives–exists on a whole different spectrum from that of us ordinary mortals).

I lived in the Atwood neighborhood my whole life. The planes never bothered me, I didn’t hear any neighbors complain. I would so welcome the jets to Truax Feild. I know people just have to have something to bitch about. What I’ve noticed in Madison is not a lot of people are happy. I don’t get it, help me out. Don’t bring in professional protesters in and protest everything. It doesn’t help.

” … in Madison not a lot of people are happy.” Just to deepen the mystery: Why do prosperous liberals living in their idea of utopia–a city that’s the epicenter (and always has been) of privilege and entitlement–also consume anti-depressants at a rate far above the national average? Lives of quiet desperation (to borrow a phrase from T. S. Eliot) that even endless virtue-signalling and trivial crusades against noisy airplanes can’t relieve. Sad.

My guess is that they object to the F-35s because they’re from the MILITARY. I faced similar pushback when advocating for the Madison POLICE. And of course, there was objection to noise from Edgewood, a CHRISTIAN college.
Note the commonalities. They seem to have problems with noise and such when it originates from the military, police, or Christians.
Question: Why do they have so much hatred for these institutions? Why do they attempt to put up roadblocks for military and police, the only institutions protecting us from complete chaos.

Because American leftism is informed by communism. The established order must be destroyed to be replaced by the worker’s paradise. Though, in all fairness to the scumbag traitorous subhuman lefties; I’ve spoken to a couple of people who spend their days around F-18 flight lines. They say the F-35s are really damn loud. But, if it make the left howl in displeasure, I’m all for it.

And don’t forget their championing the poor and downtrodden minorities who will supposedly be more affected by the noise than those in, say, the Monroe Street neighborhood. Liberals’ hatred always has a flip-side of (self-awarded) virtue. Something tells me the people who live in trailer parks next to the airport have more pressing matters to deal with than a few more planes in the skies.

I do not understand why they are so up in arms about the noise pollution anyway. It is not like the professional protesters are actually teaching their children to listen and respect people of authority. AKA police, teachers, clergy. any adult. Oh wait they want it quiet so I have listen to their B.S. woe is me stories and loud chanting. I get it now.
So it is an outrage when we do not spend a tiny bit of money on basically and unnecessary shooting range in Madison. But it is beyond the pale to get actually get the latest fighting aircraft in our city.
So when Madison implements it’s 15 \hr minimum wage will they also be putting in effect a maximum wage as well. That is the only way to close the poverty gap. If you make more that $100 dollars and hour individually or $200 \hr as a couple. The money over that will be redistributed to low wage workers in the form of Pensions funds and Better Health Insurance and Sick and Vacation time benefits. If you need more than $200\hr as a family then you just a greedy liberal.
