Al Sharpton is a racist huckster

and so very useful to desperate Democrats because

Everyone I don’t like is Hitler a racist

You're a racist.jpgCount on The Capital Times (“Your Progressive Voice”) to march lockstep with the party line. Silent when conservative speakers were shouted down at university forums, complaisant when a Democrat(ic) governor was raiding the patient compensation fund, now it bays “Racism” with the pack of hounds whenever facts are scarce and logic is lacking.

As in this week’s edition, wherein the partisans join the latest feeding frenzy to defend the human tragedy that is Baltimore and its congressional aider and abetter, Rep. Elijah Cummings:

“Trump goes out of his way to attack people of color
who serve in Congress.”

Hey, Trump goes out of his way to attack everybody, including people of color like Jeb Bush, Mitt Romney, Carly Fiorina, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi — need we go on? That color being “doesn’t matter.” Donald Trump is a lot of things, often petty. But he is an equal-opportunity name caller.

Tawana Brawley hoax

Elizabeth Warren, the Democrats’ dragon lady, actually said this at Tuesday’s presidential candidate debate: “We live in a country now where the President is advancing environmental racism, economic racism, criminal-justice racism.” When race is all you see …

“It’s no longer sufficient to be a Trump antagonist, no longer enough to stick the word “racist” in every news piece and broadcast, says David Harsanyi in The Federalist.

A real patriot embraces all the president’s enemies, no matter how morally loathsome. Which brings me to the Rev. Al Sharpton. … an unrepentant anti-Semite who had incited riots that led to a pogrom in Brooklyn and a massacre in Harlem, not to mention the defamation of police officers surrounding [the] Tawana Brawley [hoax].

Jason L. RileyJason L. Riley in the Wall Street Journal came to the same conclusion: “The news media has spent the past week trying to rehabilitate the reputations of Baltimore and Al Sharpton, which is more evidence that they’ll try just about anything to advance the Democratic Party’s Trump-is-a-racist storyline.

Given the way the people on stage Tuesday and Wednesday night [at the Democratic debates] have lined up to kiss his ring, chances are that the reverend will be monetizing racial strife for years to come.

The last refuge of a scoundrel

Comment BlackCorrected: The great 18th Century British lexicographer Dr. Samuel Johnson called patriotism “the last refuge of a scoundrel.” Today it is the race card. Ever-more frayed and faded, one senses the American people are refusing it due to insufficient funds. But not until it gets one last heavy workout from this year’s crop of desperate Democrats.

Glenn Loury of Brown University (himself amply blessed with bountiful melanin) asks, “Why Are Democrats Defending Al Sharpton?”

“They’ve handed Trump an easy win
and yoked themselves to a genuine bigot.”

The problem for Democrats is that Al Sharpton actually is, as Mr. Trump put it on Twitter, “a con man.” And not just a con man: Mr. Sharpton is an ambulance-chasing, anti-Semitic, anti-white race hustler. His history of offensive statements is longer than the current American president’s. And Mr. Sharpton’s worst sin — his blatant incitement to violence during the Crown Heights riots of 1991 — leaves no doubt that he is not a leader, as New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio described him, who has spent his years “pushing for justice in the teachings of Dr. King. …

We’ll give Professor Loury Today’s bottom Line:

If Democrats cannot distinguish between Mr. Sharpton’s hucksterism and genuine moral leadership on race and justice in America, I assure you that many moderate voters in battleground states will have no trouble doing so.

Dear black voters, Kamala Harris prosecuted the parents of truant school kids in San Francisco. She brags about it. If she is elected president and implements this program and more black parents in Madison are prosecuted than white parents….. who will the Capitol Times say is racist?

So car theft, assault, and endangering the general public is just “acting out”? Is there any end to the liberal litany of excuses for bad behavior by minorities, whether they be adolescent thugs or Al Sharpton?

What Gary said. If someone thinks crimes like grand theft auto, assault, and attempted murder are not worthy of, at the least, a mention, then I would find it difficult to have an honest discussion with that person.

While justice must be tempered with empathy, excusing bad behavior or refusing to discuss it, is not helpful to anyone, including offenders. Enabling offenders, via acts like victimization messaging and refusing to prosecute repeat offenders – especially when it’s done to appease voters – is disingenuous at best.

I want to have honest conversations, and I don’t think any of the Democratic contenders (from what I’ve seen) are at this point in time, capable of that.

OK, I’ll explain it to you. I WOULD be all for it because I’m not racist and would like all the kids to graduate. YOU wouldn’t and MMSD couldn’t because they demand to see failure through a “racial equity lens (which is stone racist). Plus it would ensure a low black turn out if Kamala is the candidate.

Excuse the pedantry, but it was Dr. Samuel Johnson, 18th century British lexicographer, critic and writer (and ardent royalist in his political views) who first said that patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel. He also said, during the American revolution, that the loudest yelps for freedom came from “the drivers of slaves.” Lillian Hellman was indeed a Commie scoundrel, but she didn’t coin any phrases nearly as memorable as Johnson’s.

Let’s keep in mind that despite having more baggage than an O’Hare International luggage carousel, Sharpton was Hopey Changey’s Go-To racial relations guy.

That’s worse than Jeffy Epstein being in unsupervised charge of a Girl Scout Troop, am I right?

My Dear 94 + year old Father, a career Lefty, can’t stand the mere sight of Sharpton.

    Democrats cannot distinguish genuine morals

Yah, modified Dr. Loury’s statement to reflect the reality. Any Party with the track record of the Democrats (Slavery, anti-voting rights, Jim Crow, KKK, abortion, perversion-marriage……..

Those are not stances which are shared by ANY racial group in this country.

And it took Donald Trump to bring it all out. Not Ron Reagan, not either Bush, not “I’m a Saint” Paul Ryan….nope. Don Trump.

So let’s see heah, Bozo. The “southern strategy” does NOT include slavery, the KKK, anti-voting rights legislation, nor anti-civil rights legislation. It never included abortion on demand,or queer/pervert marriage. But it DID include such things as patriotism, and law & order which obviously does not burden Baltimore, Madistan, Chicago, or Milwaukee–all Democrat strongholds.

So the Democrats, YOUR party, embrace Crime, Rats and Drugs. Good choice.

Hell, in 2008 both Obama and Hillary said marriage was between a man and a woman, we needed to control our border and have good relations with Putin. Remember?

Imagine David Duke being given a prime speaking slot at the Republican National Convention or President Trump welcoming him to the White House and openly soliciting his support. Imagine Duke appearing on White House visitor logs more than 70 times during Trump’s administration.
