Blaska Policy Werkes

David Blaska, going out of his way to provoke progressives in Madison WI to make America safe for democracy!

Donald Trump’s re-election committee: national Democrats

First Rule of Holes:
When you’re in one, stop digging.

Second Rule of Holes:
When your enemy has dug himself into one, don’t jump in with him.

Donald Trump violated Rule when he tweeted that “The Squad” should go back to their dysfunctional countries and fix their problems, then come back to the U.S.A. and fix ours. It was stupid and mean.

My old boss Dave Zweifel is flouting Rule . Maybe he has been reading too much John Nichols.

In the tug-a-war for the soul of the Democrat(ic) party, the editor emeritus of The Capital Times assures the faithful that “Democrats’ ‘far left’ ideas aren’t so radical after all.”

Who wants to lose?

Baghdad Bob is holding on Line

That’s what they call falling on your sword, Dave! It’s also how to re-elect Donald Trump, thank you very much. Zweifel writes:

It’s not only the “conservative” commentators who think it necessary to “advise” the Democrats about being foolish, forgetting their own foolishness in letting Donald Trump take over their own party, but many of the “liberal” commentators are chiming in, too, believing the likes of Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris and others who represent the “far left” spell doom. They wring their hands, claiming those “lefties” will blow the Dems’ chances.

Blowing the Democrats’ chances is pretty much the consensus — outside The Nation magazine and the sociology faculty at UW-Madison, anyway.

Zweifel denies that universal health care, “the so-called Green New Deal” (his term) and a new immigration policy are too radical and smack of socialism. On the latter, to the extent Democrats have any policy on immigration whatsoever, it is abolish I.C.E., open the borders, pay for “free” health care, college, and welfare bennies.

We learned from the two debates that Democrats are all in on:

  • Completely open borders
  • Welfare benefits for all comers
  • Free college and forgiveness of past student debts
  • Free government-monopolized health care
  • Abolish private insurance for 177 million Americans
  • Reparations for slavery.
  • Banning fossil fuels and cows as part of the Green New Deal
  • Packing the supreme court
  • Confiscating guns
  • New and higher taxes
  • Socialist redistribution (Bill de Blasio: “money is just in the wrong hands.”)
  • Abortion up to and just after birth (Julian Castro promised federally funded abortions for a trans female.)
  • Forced school busing for integration
  • Identity politics (You know it’s become an invasive species when The Squad accuses Nancy Pelosi of racism.)
  • “America Was Never Great” political correctness (banning the term “manhole” in Berkeley; painting over a Depression-era mural of George Washington in San Francisco; seeking convicts to serve on a police oversight committee in Madison.)

‘Shocked by what we heard’

Trump would be his own worst enemy were it not for the Democrats. Take it from Thomas Friedman of the New York Times, as reliably Left-liberal as they get.

I’m struck at how many people have come up to me recently and said, “Trump’s going to get re-elected, isn’t he?” And in each case, when I drilled down to ask why, I bumped into the Democratic presidential debates in June. I think a lot of Americans were shocked by some of the things they heard there. I was.

I was shocked that so many candidates in the party whose nominee I was planning to support want to get rid of the private health insurance covering some 250 million Americans.

I was shocked that so many were ready to decriminalize illegal entry into our country. …

I was shocked at all those hands raised in support of providing comprehensive health coverage to undocumented immigrants. …

I was shocked by how feeble was front-runner Joe Biden’s response to the attack from Kamala Harris — and to the more extreme ideas promoted by those to his left.

Friedman didn’t even get around to slavery reparations. Think of it: refugees from the horror of the Holocaust would be forced to pay in for reparations to Oprah Winfrey and R. Kelly (he being the rapper charged with 10 counts of child sexual abuse).

Blaska’s Bottom LineYou honestly don’t think that’s radical Left? C’mon, Dave Zweifel. I called out Donald Trump for his offensive tweet. Now it’s your turn to call out your fellow Democrats for their excesses. Then again, your newspaper demanded police be expelled from Madison’s troubled high schools. That was a bridge too far even for the Madison Common Council, so we are not holding our breath here at Blaska Policy Werkes.

Meanwhile, at John Nichols’ day job: Pelosi’s Feud Won’t Stop the SquadIf the Speaker wants to consolidate Democratic power, she should shift it — to the left.

Madison Republican “calls out” Trump for offensive (don’t call it racist) tweet. That’s a real profile in courage, buddy!

The Republican side of the Washington DC Party foisted Romney, a graceful loser and McCain, an incompetent campaigner on its voters. Trump is preparing the battle ground and choosing his opponent.
    Trump! You magnificent bastard!

And the Capital Times also had a piece about why they hate Paul Ryan so much. With a straight face, they concluded that what they expected Ryan to do, was to denounce the Republican nominee and refuse to vote for him. They actually expected Ryan to throw the election to Hillary, and they have been riding him about it ever since.

Actually the president never said go back to the “Countries” you came from. He said “Go back to the places you came from.” In either case where the hell does race come in????????

Carmine, you want to know where race comers in? AnonyBob explains exactly where it comes from: His head. You see, if you are from a different place, then you might have different color skin or hair. Or you might not. But that really doesn’t matter. As long as you get to call everybody on the right a racist, it’s “Mission Accomplished.” With liberals, it is always about race, all the time. There is no other issue, and they require no proof, nor relevance to cry “RAAAAAACIST” all day long.

You need to look up the definition of “trope.” This one predates my head. Ya know, O’Laughlin, the Irish and the Catholics were once told to go back where they came from. How would you like it?

You have to go back to the Dem debates 3 weeks ago to deflect from Trump’s most recent racial taunts and the appalling, un-American behavior of his base chanting at that rally? Carmine, “go back where you came from” is one of the oldest xenophobic, racist tropes on the books. Like Obama and birtherism, it makes them “the other,” and is saying these 4 women of color, despite being duly elected members of Congress, aren’t real (read: white) Americans. It’s ugly, real ugly in-your-face racism. So yes, Trump is an ugly, blatant racist, as are the rally attendees who laughingly spur him on. That rally appalled a lot of the people beyond his (minority of voters) base who he’ll need to win an election. Even he belatedly realized it and lied ridiculously (despite the video!) to walk it back. Here’s to hoping he keeps it up.

I do love it when lefties get their whine on regarding “othering”. It’s as if they believe no one has noticed identitarian grievance mongering is core to their political identity. I think, at some reptilian hind brain level, they understand how craven and dangerous that world view is.

They run around screeching about the Nazis hiding under their beds because their greatest fear is that the right will embrace a mirroring world view. Their second greatest fear is that accusations racism, misogyny, or homophobia will no longer be a useful stick to rouse their supporters and cow their opponents.

It is not an accident that the left uses “women of color” to front their most radical agendas. They believe they can reframe opposition as racism. You will note this is common across the leftie sphere. Any opposition their ideas is evidence of racism, misogyny, or homophobia.

0CRAZY0-C0rtez (NY-14), Tliab (MI-13), Pressley (MA-7), & Omar (MN-5) represent $#!T-HOLE districts best known for not having sufficient toilet paper to wipe up the widespread skid marks.

Show of hands, especially the WOKE @AnonyBob: Who wants to live there?

Heck, many, if not most, NY-14 residents wish 0CRAZY0-C0rtez didn’t live there.

The Gotch predicts those residents will express that sentiment on both 06/23/2020 (primary election) and 11/03/2020 (general election), sending 0CRAZY0-C0rtez back to another position for which she’s grossly under-qualified: slingin’ drinks!

Don’t know much about 3 of the districts, but I know MN5 quite well. I lived there and all my kids live there. Each has a home worth north of 300k. MN5 is ALL of Minneapolis and some of it’s suburbs. Believe me, it’s far from a sh#$thole lacking toilet paper. In 2018 Omar won with 77.97% of the vote. I’m sure gotch has all the facts about the gop superhero that will step up and defeat her. All that’s needed is for him to tell us who that will be. Stick to complaining about bike paths.
