If anything betrays the crisis in Madison schools, it’s this kid who — along with 15 or so of his friends — trashed a free after-school library and disrespected their classmates, their community, and themselves.
Blaska sat before the Wisconsin State Journal editorial board Thursday afternoon. So did Kaleem Caire, Ananda Mirilli, and Ali Muldrow. We faced editor John Smalley, editorial page editor Scott Milfred, cartoonist Phil Hands, and reporter Logan Wroge.
Only Blaska was firm on keeping one police officer each in Madison’s four main high schools. Kaleem equivocated, saying that he hoped one day we wouldn’t need police in our schools. Well, yeah, when the lion lays down with the lamb.
Ali Muldrow defended the social justice warriors who drove the Madison school board to shelter behind closed doors at its Feb. 25 meeting. “Civil disobedience,” she said. Yes, they were exercised by the behavior incident at Whitehorse middle school, having received only half the story.
Defending classroom chaos, Ali said she wanted students to be able to think for themselves. Hmm, seems to ol’ Blaska before kids can think they have to learn. Learning that there are consequences to bad decisions is a pretty good lesson.
Ali told the WI State Journal edit board she wanted more dance classes in our schools. Ananda Mirilli talked about dentistry for kids. Kaleem wants to reform the entire State of Wisconsin educational funding system. Blaska said he just wanted classrooms that respected their teachers, regardless of race. A good teacher is a good teacher. Listen and you might learn.
Blaska concluded by saying he would not leave the WI State Journal conference room at 1901 Fish Hatchery Road until he received their endorsement. Milfred offered to get a sleeping cot.

“We don’t have to listen to the police and you can’t touch us.” That’s one lesson Madison thugs have learned all too well. They’re smart enough to decode the fundamental message behind all the posturing, equivocation, virtue-signaling, and feelgood nonsense about “diversity” and inclusivity” propagated by Madison liberals, particularly those on or running for the school board: minorities shouldn’t be held to the same standards of behavior in schools (or anywhere else for that matter). Meanwhile, as the incident at lakeview library clearly shows, the rest of us reap what these sanctimonious dumbbells sow.

The common refrain is historic, systemic, structural, generational racism and disenfranchisement has created a percentage of distrusting downtrodden blacks existing at the survival level. Poorly educated, unskilled, broken drug-addled families raising kids who act out in the only way they know.
The challenge is; how to break the destructive cycle?
Enabling white guilt is not part of the answer.

Part of the answer you seek is rich white privilege not white guilt. Work you butt off, get good grades, high entrance score and get rejected from the school you want. Why? Because some rich parents bribed their way in for their worthless kid. Wouldn’t that leave a bad taste in your mouth? Wouldn’t that make you feel like a second class person? The sad part is that not one of these people will ever serve a day for this. Not one. But, if your caught selling a loose cigarette you die. AMIRIGHT? Wells Fargo screwed millions out of billions and not one person served a day. Get caught with a joint in your pocket; 15 years baby. Truth in sentencing is only used for minorities. The system is corrupt, they know it and that breaks people’s spirit.

After they were arrested, the Clintonista Three Strikes And You’re Out took care of the rest.

Any black individual with good grades etc. has the pick of schools, partly because of checking the minority box. Are there enough black people interested in developing a strategy to recreate the strong nuclear family within their culture; the (first step) antidote to a unequal corrupt system.
Historically/globally all systems are corrupt/unfair with the powerful majority enjoying privilege regardless of skin color. It’s a human thing. At least our system affords tremendous opportunity to any and all who learn how to play the game and do not dig an insurmountable hole. However, even a system as well conceived as ours suffers insidious corrosion that reflects the same within the citizenry.
Help is available for the disadvantaged but the message from the regressive Left is that of victimology, as in, you are powerless to make a good life without first changing the system despite contrary examples.
Apparently the money is out there; Freedom Inc. raised $1,724,194 in 2016.
In Madison for example, changing the system includes brilliant ideas like eliminating jails, eliminating cops in schools (1/1200 students), self policing communities, corrupting school standards, excusing bad/violent behavior, trashing the first amendment, etc., all the while ignoring the broken family unit mostly created by young people procreating in self-defeating circumstances.
Hard to blame whitey for one’s pregnancy so receives little attention.
The system can break a lot of people’s spirit richie, but generational bad decisions only magnifies the power of the system to crush, and that is another reason a strong healthy family unit is the best first step to succeed. Evidently this idea is a low priority as there is little discussion by leaders at all levels and coverage by the MSM of those who do is virtually nonexistent.
The bureautocracy is now the fourth branch of government sucking the life out of the system not unlike a malignant tumor.
How would you go about reforming it and redirecting all that energy and resource constructively?
