Blaska Policy Werkes

David Blaska, going out of his way to provoke progressives in Madison WI to make America safe for democracy!

Working mother demeaned by desperate corporation

For some, everyone they don’t like is Hitler. For The Capital Times, everyone they don’t like is “a career politician.”

You're Hitler
or a career politician

For the second time in less than a month, Your Progressive Voice is labeling Leah Vukmir “a career politician.” The first time might have been just lazy and sloppy. But having been corrected on it, the hyper-partisan Democrat(ic) party spear carrier doubles down on it today.

We’ve pointed out that Leah worked for over 20 years as a certified pediatric nurse practitioner, receiving her nursing degree from Marquette University in 1980 and her master’s degree in nursing from UW Madison in 1983. She was only elected to the legislature in 2002, at age 44. In other words, Leah Vukmir was a working mother. And a nurse, not yet another lawyer.

No comfortable trust fund for Leah Vukmir, unlike her opponent. Career politician? Tammy Baldwin began running for office at age 24 in 1986 three years [ CORRECTED: before graduating ] law school .

The corporation that speaks as if it were a person tries to justify its mischaracterization by writing that Leah has appeared on 14 primary and general election ballots. Fourteen! Notice how they throw in primary elections to double the number? (In most of which, she was unopposed.) By that metric, their Tammy appeared on at least 27 primary and general election ballots. Twenty-seven — more if she was “primaried” in her four county board races.

“Career politician?” You can be certain Your Progressive Voice (campaign disclosure statements not required) never slapped that label on Barack Obama or the Clintons.

Blaska’s Bottom Line: The irony is that the CT claims Vukmir is running “a desperate and dishonest campaign.”

To make that point, the CT runs a desperate and dishonest editorial.

When you can’t extol your own candidate you must destroy the opponent.

Misogyny? Nah, more like Rules for Radicals, by Saul Alinski, 1971.

Obama helped fund ‘Alinsky Academy’: “The Woods Fund, a nonprofit on which Obama served as paid director from 1999 to December 2002, provided startup funding and later capital to the Midwest Academy…. Obama sat on the Woods Fund board alongside William Ayers, founder of the Weather Underground domestic terrorist organization…. ‘Midwest describes itself as ‘one of the nation’s oldest and best-known schools for community organizations, citizen organizations and individuals committed to progressive social change.’… Midwest teaches Alinsky tactics of community organizing.”

Hillary, Obama and the Cult of Alinsky: “True revolutionaries do not flaunt their radicalism, Alinsky taught. They cut their hair, put on suits and infiltrate the system from within. Alinsky viewed revolution as a slow, patient process. The trick was to penetrate existing institutions such as churches, unions and political parties…. Many leftists view Hillary as a sell-out because she claims to hold moderate views on some issues. However, Hillary is simply following Alinsky’s counsel to do and say whatever it takes to gain power.

“From the moment the organizer enters a community he lives, dreams… only one thing and that is to build the mass power base of what he calls the army. Until he has developed that mass power base, he confronts no major issues…. Until he has those means and power instruments, his ‘tactics’ are very different from power tactics. Therefore, every move revolves around one central point: how many recruits will this bring into the organization, whether by means of local organizations, churches, service groups, labor Unions, corner gangs, or as individuals.”

“The first step in community organization is community disorganization. The disruption of the present organization is the first step toward community organization. Present arrangements must be disorganized if they are to be displace by new patterns…. All change means disorganization of the old and organization of the new.” p.116

“An organizer must stir up dissatisfaction and discontent… He must create a mechanism that can drain off the underlying guilt for having accepted the previous situation for so long a time. Out of this mechanism, a new community organization arises….
“The job then is getting the people to move, to act, to participate; in short, to develop and harness the necessary power to effectively conflict with the prevailing patterns and change them. When those prominent in the status quo turn and label you an ‘agitator’ they are completely correct, for that is, in one word, your function—to agitate to the point of conflict.” p.117

        @Batman;

“Obama sat on the Woods Fund board alongside William Ayers”

But, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, Hopey Changey said Bill “Guilty as sin, free as a bird” Ayers was just someone from the neighborhood, didn’t he?

Then that would suggest that Hopey launching his IL State Senate run from Ayers living room is fake news, am I right?

That means….Lefties, feel free to jump in and explain.

        One more thing.

Hopey Changey & Ayers pissed away ding nigh 9 figure$ in the ill-fated, colossal disaster known as the Chicago Annenberg Challenge.

According to Wikipedia, Tammy ran for the county board in 1986 and got her law degree in 1989. So, actually she first ran for political office 3 years BEFORE she graduated from law school. She has held a political office for her entire adult life.

      So just like Walker?
The career politician insult is usually a dumb one that both parties try to hurl against each other when running against incumbents.

I would agree with you Food, and I never would have brought this up if the Cap Times had not hurled this canard TWICE now.

This is a feature, not a bug, of the Post-Modern-Neo-Lefty POS democrat Party.

”At a time when Republicans are being shot, stabbed, doxxed, beaten, mailed powder, run out of restaurants, and sent death threats, Hillary Clinton urges Democrats to be even more uncivil. What an irresponsible statement. EVERY democrat SHOULD DENOUNCE. (bolds/caps mine) – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D (R- LA)

When the Antifa pussies and rank-n-file Lefty student snowFLAKE blithering imbeciles find out where this is heading and what will be waiting for them when they arrive, they’ll turn tail and run so fast their widdle petticoats will blow up over their punkin heads as they beeline for their safe spaces which (if you’s can keep a secret) will NOT be safe!

    REQUIEM FOR A RAG

Ah The Crap Times; Desperately Seeking Relevance…and readers.

That rag used to be at least respectable; shoot, The Gotch even used to deliver it back in the day.

Heck, I even used to subscribe until a fact-based reality, and real market forces, required it to fold like a cheap suit.

Now it folds into a weekly insert, not unlike the Shopper Stopper; free, inane, and largely ignored, like DEADBEAT donut makers.

Anywho, I still bring it in with the Wisconsin State Journal, which is the only thing protecting it, literally, from the $#!t heap.

At least the lovely and long-suffering Mrs. Gotch (a career Lefty) would infrequently page through it, but even that’s fallen by the wayside.

Now, its nearly nonexistent readership (a term I use advisedly) are the kind of career Lefties that start nodding their heads furiously like trained seals when they see its banner, laughably inane content notwithstanding.

William T. Evjue is spinning like a top in his grave as Editor (haaaawk petuey!) Paulie Fanlund plumbs new depths of meaninglessness.

[…] The Capital Times is desperate to smear nurse and working mother Leah Vukmir as a “dishonest … career politician” because the Republican candidate for Senate is hitting incumbent Tammy Baldwin where it hurts: her starring role in the Act 10 intifada of 2011.  (“Working mother demeaned.”) […]
