Student shot near La Follette H.S.

Kids!

Where do you stand on cops in schools, Ald. Hall?

A car just driving through the area at the time of the shooting was hit by a bullet, and police spokesman Joel DeSpain said the driver was lucky.

“A bullet went through the back window of the car, through the passenger seat and out the front window,” he said.

“If there had been a passenger in the car, the passenger likely would have been dead.” More at the WI State JournalFrom Ald. Amanda Hall’s blog:

Dear Neighbors,

I’ve been informed by MPD that a La Follette student has been struck by a bullet near school grounds.

At this point, MPD does not believe that the person who fired the gun is actively targeting the school or other students. The high school is on lockdown at this time as a precaution.

The student was struck in the lower half of his body and has experienced non-life threatening injuries.

MPD is working to find the person who fired the gun and to further secure the school premises. They are working so fast they don’t have a lot of time to update me, naturally, which is why I don’t have more details for you at this time.

I know this is scary. MPD and our MMSD school staff know exactly what to do in a situation like this. Let’s hold tight and we will know more very soon.

“We need parents, we need community members, we need community leaders to help wrap our arms around students who are very much at risk.” – Madison SD Sup. Jennifer Cheatham

I’ll tell you who’s “at risk” lady. The people in the neighborhoods surrounding Madison schools that have your little shitheads shooting the place up. To me this statement means Madison schools are committed to inflicting violent little criminals on the normal students and the communities that surround Madison’s schools. These people are truly insane.

At risk for what? Being arrested for stealing cars 5 times? Go back to chi-town Jenny. Your policies are not working here.

I hate the phrase “at risk”. It’s typically used by people who want to remove any semblance of responsibility from the offenders or their parents. Maybe if more kids were once again put at risk getting their asses whipped with a belt when they acted like little shits, then there wouldn’t be so many of them “at risk”

But “at risk” is such a useful euphemism for the Left. Places that used to be called ghettos are now “at risk neighborhoods”; teenagers who used to be called juvenile delinquents (another euphemism for criminals-in-training) are now “at risk youth.” And who’s putting them at risk? Not their neglectful (or absent) parents, that’s for sure because they too must “at risk” since they’re incapable of exercising even a modicum of personal responsibility. No, it’s the white patriarchy, institutional racism, law enforcement, blah, blah, blah. Cheatham is the perfect fit for Madison–both are so divorced from reality, so committed to their elitist liberal fantasy world where minorities, who are assumed to be utterly incapable of civilized behavior, need to be held to a lower standard than the rest of us.
