MEN!

Who needs proof? Guilty until proven innocent

Scott Adams may be America’s foremost humorist who has not yet been relegated to non-personhood as a chronic oppressor of women but he has nothing on the gang of usual suspects at The Nation.

The weekly reader for social justice warriors poses the ultimate identity politics quiz: “Does Eric Schneiderman prove we should never trust a male feminist?”

The motley crew at the Stately Manor got there long before Schneiderman got his comeuppance but we were Deplorable before it was a fashion statement. Then again, we’ve been swimming upstream for so long we we’re turning salmon pink.

Identity politics has a ranking system based on the degree of victimhood. The Nation’s Katha Pollitt is an arbiter of this caste system. Ms. Pollitt answers her own Schneiderman question with this polemic:

The history of #MeToo … makes clear that neither party has a monopoly on men who behave atrociously to women. … the only thing one can say with assurance is that they’re men. Yes, I know women can be abusers, and I know some men are great, but at the moment #NotAllMen is looking more like a wish than a declarative statement. …

Here’s what I’m going to do: Vote for women. Support women. Protect women. Believe women.

Have we passed through the Leftist event horizon? Into the dark hole where all politics is  spaghetti-fied into nothing but pure race and gender? Where the highest form of conscious being is black/female/queer?

Can The Nation condemn an entire gender to the non-personhood of a deposed politburo member? Especially given the magazine’s fragile subscriber base? Yes, it can because it just did!

The tumbrels are rolling!

The white labcoats at the Blaska Policy Werkes took a deep dive into comments from Nation subscribers to “Does Eric Schneiderman prove …?” What they found is identity politics eating itself alive:

  1. You know, Katha, I made a couple of missteps when I was in my 20s and 30s in my personal life, but I’ve always been pro-feminist. But now it’s obvious you and your sisters don’t want me on your side, so FU [mic drop].
  2. Since Katha Pollitt is a straight, white woman, does this mean that any gay or black people should never trust her? The Republicans do a good enough job dividing us on the left. It’s time we come together and fight the common enemy.
  3. Does Katha Pollitt prove that nobody, not even writers for The Nation, can help but cast unrealistic over-generalizations across an entire demographic group? Does she prove that even self-proclaimed and “open-minded” progressives can’t contain their prejudice? Ah well….
  4. Katha, As a woman who has been an activist for women’s reproductive rights for many years and as a person who has moved politically to what is considered the “far left”, I just won’t support any woman because she is a female. And I won’t believe every woman automatically just because she is a woman. I’ll tell you why. I have seen over my 65-plus years many women who are nothing less than treacherous, and completely able to lie about a man to get revenge (usually for being rejected). The two very best bosses I ever had in this world were women, but two of the worst lying, back-stabbing, incompetent bosses I ever had were also women.
  5. “Believe women”? If women never lie about rape, does that mean the Scottsboro Boys were guilty? They were, after all, accused of rape. What about due process?
  6. … Identity politics is destructive and sexist or racist, no matter where you stand.
  7. The funniest, the FUNNIEST was Rachel Maddow coming down in support of Brokaw . . . because he never made an unwanted grab at her!

Blaska’s Bottom Line: We are entering very dangerous territory here, folks. Communists loyal to Stalin actually had infiltrated American government, academia, and the arts in the late 1940s/early 1950s. (The Rosenbergs were guilty; Alger Hiss was, indeed, a spy.) But demagogues like Joe McCarthy hitched a free ride on a real threat and discredited the movement.

Always believe if you wish but have we forgotten the the fake rape charges against the Duke University lacrosse team? (The prosecuting district attorney was eventually disbarred.) The University of Virginia fraternity hoax perpetrated by Rolling Stone? (Never happened) The recanted sexual abuse charge against the late Chicago Cardinal Joseph Bernardin? (Accuser sought his forgiveness.)

The tumbrels are rolling, people. Eventually, #MeToo will turn on any man who flirted on company time, offered to buy a drink, or “stole a kiss” in a movie theater.

For extra credit: “Eric Schneiderman, New York’s former attorney general, may have been a longtime champion of women’s rights, but he now stands accused of beating and verbally abusing multiple women. After hearing the accusations against him, Samantha Bee said that she didn’t feel at all conflicted about condemning the onetime liberal darling.” — The New York Times.

Lefties can’t resist the opportunity to exercise their favorite superpower, virtue-signaling; one of their preferred targets is abusers (real or imagined) of women, but the biggest target of all is–you guessed it–RACISM! The virtue signalers at UW-Madison are currently in full-throated outcry against two distinguished alumni, Porter Butts and Fredric March, whose names adorn an art gallery and a theatre, respectively. Their unforgivable sin? Membership in two “racist” organizations when they were college students in the 1920s. Madison has no statues of Confederate generals to tear down, but never underestimate the detective skills of the perpetually aggrieved. By their exalted moral standards, no one branded a racist can ever escape the consequence of that ignominious label. The governing body of the Memorial Union, where the Porter Butts Gallery and the Fredric March Theatre are located, has decided to cover up their names pending a decision by the Chancellor whether to remove them permanently. Clearly, one bad choice (if it smacks of racism) negates a lifetime of admirable achievements. The real question is why the rest of us put up with these gestapo tactics. At least the family of Porter Butts has decided to fight back. See the details on the front page of today’s State Journal.

Where did your brown, black, white nonsense come from? “Lachrymose activity of melanin-challenged?” Typical fat old white guy BS spouting crap while looking down your nose at us peasants. Lachrymose- weeping, teary-eyed. Melanin- the BLACK pigment in hair and skin. In other words you mean whining white women. Your word smithery is both annoying and dishonest. Yo, rickie,

Splain dat a bit more fer us, would you? Somewhere you were trying to address skin color as “brown, black, white nonsense.” See, I am stuck on the first word, “brown.”

Are brown people protected or special? My reading equal protection clause of the 14th suggests the law is color-blind. Yet, we know From 2013 WIS. Act 20, Section 500g. 23.09(27) of the statutes:
Summer Tribal Youth Program. The [DNR] may, in partnership with any of the federally recognized American Indian tribes or bands domiciled in this state, establish a summer program that provides members of the tribe or band who are 13 to 19 years of age with an opportunity to work on projects related to the conservation of natural resources.

Special jobs program for “brown” youth, but not all “poor” youth. White youth are excluded, even if poor and even if they would like experience in conservation.

Yust trying to figur this out as an ethnic Norwegian —- Did Schneiderman write this legislation for Wisconsin? Or was it his reference to ‘brown slaves’? Please hep me I get so confused when equality means some must be denied opportunities, while others are rewarded because of their skin color.

NeverTrumpers like Dave have caved; Trump now owns the GOP and, as recent elections have shown, it’s paying a huge price. Walker is peeing his pants over the upcoming Blue Wave. Enjoy your “winning,” it’s gonna be short-lived. (Or will we now get the predictable Spat response “I’m above partisan politics because I’m not a Republican”?)

ZTE ZTE ZTE Now trump wants our gov’t (Taxpayers) to stop picking on the chinese telecommunications company because “china people” need jobs. Never mind the sanctions in place for spying and stealing intellectual property they are really good guys. And who knows, maybe some of them will buy some condos. Every sale gets a fruit basket and a US visa.

You best get the message to Idiot Savant @hankdog/old baldy from whom we’d never hear from again were he to be held to the same standard.

No hate for anything but the chicago bares, running into a cold, wet, wind-whipped rain (like last Friday), and non-variegated Bishops Weed.

It’s shame someone like McCain chooses to go out angry-n-bitter, it didn’t/doesn’t have to be that way.

I’m surprised someone close hasn’t intimated how that approach s working for yer hero Hillarity.

The latest on THAT moral/ethical trainwreck? Superficial voters MADE her spend hours slathering spackling onto to her hideously wrinkled puss.

A freakin’ Make-Up Tax is just another weapon in the War-on-Women, isn’t it?

She says women are held to different, and more superficial, standards of appearance than men. She’s right. Ask any woman, Gotch, if you know any. Trump wears the same ill-fitting suit with a ridiculous lounge singer hairstyle, and gets away with it while insulting the appearance of others. Nope, no double standard there…

At least he hasn’t commissioned a portrait with a pud on the side of his temple like Hopey Changey consciously chose to do.

I think he does that more to piss off career Lefties than anything else, I’d bring up Don King but that would be raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacist.

Be careful, he’s a New Age Chinese Buddhist, so a Lefty World View Cafeteria patron like yerself best tread lightly. Hopefully your staggering self-loathing will prevent you from offending anyone that’s not (snicker) a (heh!) White (giggle) Y-Chromosomal Unit.

    ABob,

The Blue Wave is as likely as the Hillary Landslide.
You have leaders in your party but they’re scared of your base. Cryin’ Chuck Schumer wanted to do an infrastructure bill with President Trump until the activists (defined as Lefties who don’t know what they want and won’t be happy until they get it) showed up on his door step.
President Trump’s approval ratings tick up while the congress and media hover in single digits.
If you can get your opponents scared, angry and easily triggered you’ve won.
There are obvious reasons that the party of open borders, potty police and higher taxes is at its lowest ebb since the 1920’s.
I expect the winning to continue and if any Wisconsin pol is incontinent its Senator Tammy D LGBTQLMNOP. Her base is made up of those who use their lady parts to pull the voting lever and inspire their head gear.

Better tell all that to Adult Diapers Walker and all the GOP candidates who’ve been losing elections they normally would’ve won. Trump ticks up from all-time low popularity territory to solidly negative territory. I’ll tell you which side is panicking and which side is motivated to vote. Meanwhile, Tammy can sit back and let Cruella de Vukmir and the guy whose parents’ contribute to Tammy duke it out.

Hold on there gotch…In one of your rants you say;” It’s a shame that someone like McCain chooses to go out angry and bitter” .That’s it? No one like McCain should be treated like trump and his staff have treated him. Some retired right-wing general gets on Faux and calls him Songbird John, hinting he gave up info while a prisoner, a staffer says; “it doesn’t matter he’s dying anyway”, To say nothing about all of General Bonespurs comments. And now your saying it’s all on McCain; that HE chooses to be angry and bitter. Sadly; your comment sums up what the entire party you support are all about. No respect. I wrote alot of stuff here that I know you will be putting (” “) around and begin your jibberish. Have at it
