Blaska Policy Werkes

David Blaska, going out of his way to provoke progressives in Madison WI to make America safe for democracy!

Protect Madison students, vote Reyes

The doomsday clock at the Stately Manor is counting down the hours until 7 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, a date that will live … in INFAMY! Excuse us, we got carried away. That is the Spring, non-partisan (yeah, right!) Election Day. One week from today’s posting.

Tuesday, April 3

We’ve got some pretty consequential elections. Top of the List is Madison School Board. Our hardy band has fought against the War on Cops at the Madison Common Council, the Dane County Board of Supervisors, and now at the Madison Board of Education.

The incumbent, Anna Moffit, is behind the move to get cops out of the schools. Naturally, Ms. Moffit is endorsed by Brenda Konkel’s Progressive Dane and the Derail the Jail movement. And by the Teachers Union — although I’m guessing scores of actual teachers will vote Gloria Reyes for Madison School Board. She supports cops in schools because she WAS a cop! She is Mayor Soglin’s deputy on education and law enforcement. I’ve heard her speak up for discipline in the schools.

Here is Progressive Dane’s endorsement of Moffit:

Anna is the vice president of the board and has worked hard to get the public into the discussion about police in the schools, working on rights for students with disabilities and mental wellness challenges, working to reduce expulsions and emphasizing restorative justice … blah blah blah.

“Has worked hard to get the public into the discussion …” Yeah, right! Progressive Dane is also backing Al Matano for county board. Al, a nice enough guy, represented the Grievin’ Grandma in her frivolous complaint against Chief Koval before the PFC. Progressive Dane is to the LEFT of Dane County Democrats, viscerally anti-cop. Hands up don’t shoot and the whole bit. Can’t go wrong by voting against candidates endorsed by PD.

Gloria Reyes
Gloria Reyes

Yes, Gloria Reyes has been endorsed by The Capital Times. Don’t hold that against her; the CT can’t resist identity politics. The Latina thing. (Notice, they’re endorsing all the other cop bashers.) And Ms. Reyes is no Republican. This IS Madison. But she’s an incremental improvement.

We see that Madison school board member Dean Loumos (he’s not up for election this year) is talking to Progressive Dane this Wednesday evening (03-28-18) at the Downtown Library. Topic: “Removing Police from our Schools.” Will he tell them what they want to hear? Your peripatetic Squire would crash the meeting but he is too well known. Need a fly on the wall. Electing Reyes will send a message, special delivery.

Jacob Luginbuhl
Jake Luginbuhl

Jake Luginbuhl in Verona and Brent Renteria in the Town of Middleton and some SW Madison seek to succeed Mike Willett and Ronn Ferrell on the county board. Those two are the last of the dependably conservative supes.

Lucas Diaz running for mayor of Verona. Ol’ Luke is a heavy hitter for the Madison-centered Left. Our liberal-progressive-socialist acquaintances have colonized the suburbs and rural areas to a fare-thee-well. They campaign as moderates but govern as social justice warriors. Caveat emptor! Vote Dennis Beres.

May have noticed, Republicans do not endorse in non-partisan elections.

Remember to support the San Francisco Values and vote for Dallet.

So if you like overaggressive pan handlers, Needles laying everywhere, feces in the street. A housing market so overvalued and priced due to regulations. a place where if you are an illegal immigrant you can shoot and kill someone and not be convicted or deported cuz that would be mean. These are things that liberals celebrate as paradise.

If you want all those things in Wisconsin please support Dallet. If you want someone that will does not support those things vote Screnock.

Also remember to Vote YES to the referendum to get rid of WI state Treasurer position!

Remember to wet your pants over a bunch of things that have nothing to do with the election. No smear too low, eh? And while you’re at it, let’s have fewer officials accountable to the voters.

I thought we used to care about out-of-state money and influence – all I see from Dallet is sponsors from out-of-state interests not to mention her little talk in San Francisco. Oh, and the sponsors just happen to be all Democratic – so much for non-partisan race, eh?
Give me Screnock nerd playing tuba all day!

It does matter and it is relevant in this election, San Francisco values and by products of those issues I described above are directly correlated liberal activist judges.

The role of a state supreme court judge is not to make new laws it is there to say unconstitutional or constitutional. If found unconstitutional it goes back to the legislature to make a new law that is constitutional. She is one that will make laws from the bench. I have a huge issue with that.

If she was democrat willing to do that then I would support her but that is not what she will do, she will be number three vote in the 4 to 3 votes in Wisconsin.

She is most likely going to win because voter turnout is going to favor democrats.

Huh, then you must have abhorred the GAB then, because they were fully un-elected and unaccountable.

BTW, I am pretty sure Dallet will win because of liberal vote turnout and the fact that the GOP has not put any money into helping his cause which is a mistake.

You are continually a cartoon character….Republicans dont endorse in non partisan elections, says the republican in his non partisan election endorsement blog.

Someone forgot to tell these people that Republicans dont endorse : https://www.judgescrenock.com/endorsements/

Ill give scott walker a pass on the endorsement of Screnock, since he isnt the sharpest tool in the shed and didnt get the memo about Republicans dont endorse in non partisan elections.

Also i find it very fitting that peoples rights are just blah blah blah in your world.
(working on rights for students with disabilities and mental wellness challenges, working to reduce expulsions and emphasizing restorative justice … blah blah blah.)

Pretty much says everything needed about you!

    1. Sorry, Jeff m’boy, but I don’t see the Republican party listed among the endorsements to which you linked. Not seeing Scott Walker who, despite “not being the sharpest tool in the shed” is at least sharper than anyone thrown up against him by the Democrats. Or are the people of Wisconsin so easily fooled?

Hmmm no Republicans on that list at all, and we will pretend that the hundred fifty K plus from the Republican party to Screnock means nothing!
