Tell me police aren’t needed in Madison schools

A large fight involving “multiple students” occurred at La Follette high school Tuesday morning.  Numerous officers, a sergeant, a lieutenant and East District Captain Snyder responded shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday.  One female was pushed into a window and received cuts requiring stitches.

Other minor injuries were reported.  The North and East districts were required to go to priority only calls due to the resources this call necessitated.  Police are investigating and officers are working with school district officials to identify the people who caused the violence.

Today — “Numerous fatalities and at least 20 injured in Florida high school shooting. More here.
