Roaming the hallways
Residential Burglary – 9:39 p.m. Monday 2-11-19: Officers responded to the 500 block of N. Frances St for a report of 4-5 juveniles (AAMs) roaming hallways of an apartment complex. It was reported that a backpack was missing and the group of juveniles was confronted by residents. The juveniles fled on foot and are at-large. A backpack with electronics was determined to be missing.Three stolen cars! 3!
02-10-19 — Fitchburg police and other law enforcement agencies had a busy time chasing after three stolen vehicles Sunday night, with the driver of one of the vehicles found and arrested.
Jermaine Coleman, 17, Madison, was taken into custody and tentatively charged with operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent, hit and run and felony bail jumping, Fitchburg police said.
The whole episode started in Belleville at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday, when a caller to 911 said their vehicle had been stolen.
